DESCRIPTION:In the context of the cooperation between ETSI and NetworldEurope\, we are announcing an online webinar examining how to “Accelerate the adoption of European Research and Standards”.\nThe aim of the webinar is to describe the close links between “research ideas” and “standardization value”. The two activities are intrinsically linked\, and the enhanced collaboration between regulation\, research and standards will make the transfer of research ideas into standards both faster and more impactful. \nThe ETSI hosted webinar will take place online on Tuesday 18th May 2021 at 13:00 CEST and will include presentations by: \n\nRui L. Aguiar\, NetworldEurope\, Instituto de Telecomunicações.\nMarkus Mueck\, ETSI RISE Chair\, and Intel.\nDavid Boswarthick\, ETSI Director of New Technologies.\n\nThe webinar will conclude with a highly interactive session for your questions to the speakers.\nThe event is open to all free of charge and may be viewed both live-online and consulted after the event. \nThe target audience includes all Researchers and Innovators working on ICT ideas inside companies\, academic institutes\, public and private research labs\, with particular attention to academic researchers who are\, or wish to be involved in EU research projects under Horizon Europe and other research funding platforms. \nThe topics to be covered will include: \n\nExamining the joint mapping activity between NetworldEurope SRIA (Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda) and ETSI Technical work areas.\nUpdated of the latest developments for NetworldEurope and the SRIA\nIntroduction on how researchers may get involved in standards\, and the various tools available to them in ETSI to help them engage\nInsights to the ICT community on future upcoming technology directions that will impact standards the in coming years\nWhy ETSI is the best landing zone for implementing future technology directions\nHow ETSI is engaging in several of the technology directions identified by NetworldEurope
